Earthenware are a tradition of the city of Quimper which dates back from the end of the XVth century. The museum Jules
Verlingue relates the evolution of the Quimper earthenware fabric through centuries thanks to a permanent exhibition of
500 pieces which certain are unique. You will discover the birth and the evolution of a "style Quimper", presentation of
the remarkable work of Alfred Beau, the time of artists or the extremely various production between the two world wars,
from grès Odetta to the colonial exhibit. You will also discover the craft, the techniques and the secrets of the
earthenware work.
